Antonis Argyros Winery - Art Space

Along with the works of art that are housed in the old winery of 1861, Art Space includes lately in its premises a modern vertical vinification winery. That is, here, the wine must not pumped, but it is moved by gravity.

Argyros Estate

A historical winery located at the entrance of the village of Episkopi Gonia. The grandfather of Yiannis Argyros, the owner, began the canava in 1903, but as it was simply for personal use. The amount of wine produced was very small.

Gavalas Winery

This winery is located in Megalochori, one of the most picturesque villages in Santorini with its cobbled pathways and pretty little taverns. A small lit tunnel taking the form of a small museum tells the history of the winery and leads to the courtyard of the canava. It holds three centuries of history.

Crossing through some vineyards, you descend into a small undercover cave where there are metallic tanks and a little further inside a small area, where the winemaker's wife Konstantina will greet you with a smile.

The Koutsogiannopoulou Winery is a small family business that started in 1870 when the first canavas were made. Today, four generations later, they continue to produce wine.

Canava Roussos

The Roussos family winery has existed since 1836. It is one of the oldest canavas in Santorini. The owner John Roussos and his children have great respect for tradition and so you will learn a great deal about the traditional methods of winemaking in Santorini during the tour of the old canava.

This winery offers a view of the caldera, the view of the grapes being sun-dried to produce Vinsanto in September on the balconies above the caldera is particularly interesting.

Domaine Sigalas

A visit to this winery in Baxedes under the village of Foinika, during the grape harvest period at the end of August is truly magical. You will find yourself relaxing in the courtyard with a view of the vineyard and the sea.
